I’m glad you found your way here! Here and now, let’s live and breathe moment by moment, and learn to trust that with a little faith, all will be well.
I’ve been on a journey of recovery since breast cancer interrupted my life and literally changed everything, mostly for good. People and prayers made all the difference, and still do. Encouraging words are good medicine and are why this blog exists – to pass along hope.
Look at it this way: everyone’s in recovery from something. And always will be.
If you’re going through stuff, don’t despair. You’re not alone!
We all need a quiet sense of God’s abiding presence, the assurance that someone cares. That’s the reason for this site.
There are no accidents with God. I think He plans for us to connect and this is where we begin.

Everyday I get a google alert with anything in the news concerning Lyme Disease and your article showed up because you mentioned the tick in your spine. As I am a Christian your article on detachment really interested me. You mentioned that you are writing a book this fall and I would like to get some type of notification in order to get a copy when your book is released. Your article inspired me!
Susan, you’re message came at a perfect time! I heard details about my book, tentatively called “Texting Thru Cancer, All will be well” to be published in March 2021 by Upper Room Books. Sounds crazy long, right? But I’m learning there’s a ton to publishing a book. I just told my sister I hope to develop a list of people who want to buy it ahead of time. I think it will be available on Amazon and from other sources, including from me. I hope you learn what you can about Lyme disease, which I’ve had in the past. The big thing is to recognize the symptoms and get treated promptly. Blessings, jan
